Volunteering at the club not only improves the facility, but also gives us a chance to get to know each other and helps to keep our membership-owned club in tip-top shape.
ANNUAL VOLUNTEER DEPOSIT
A $100 volunteer deposit check (post dated to October 31) must be provided by opening day. Checks will be destroyed (or returned if requested) upon completion of four (4) hours of volunteer Board-approved service at or for CGSRC. If volunteer hours are not completed by November 1, volunteer deposits will be forfeited and checks cashed. See Policies and Procedures Manual for details and exceptions.
HOW TO VOLUNTEER
- Workdays (See Calendar)
Sample projects include: draining the baby pool, power trimming and removing cuttings from the junipers off the tennis court fences, trimming the oleanders and ivy, weeding the front flower beds, sanding and touching up the clubhouse, replenishing the sand, cleaning the showers, picnic table repair, cleaning the pumphouse, the tennis courts, and anything else you can think of. So come on by and choose a task. See the calendar for scheduled workdays .
- Snack Bar (Contact Director)
A great way to complete your volunteer hours is to help with snack bar. Volunteers are needed to make this available to our members.
- Social Functions (Contact Social Director)
Volunteering during social events is another great way to get to know your fellow club members. We also welcome you to organize and sponsor club-wide events. Email to volunteer or to suggest a social event you would like to sponsor.
